“The Longest Anticipated Wedding in History”

After several postponements due to the uncertainties of 2020, they finally got to celebrate their wedding with one heck of a hype team at Mattie’s at Green Pastures in South Austin. They described it as “the longest anticipated wedding in history”. We finally made it happen!

How They Met

They met at a Halloween party where Sam dressed up as Waldo. She “knew the quirky cutie was a keeper” after a fun night of drinks and karaoke, but it wasn’t until a quick trip to Italy that Colleen knew she wanted Sam in her life forever.

The Wedding Day

It was an entire week of celebration, but on the morning of the wedding, they popped the bubbly drinks at the Westin where Colleen and the girls got ready. Shortly after entering the room and meeting the bride squad, I knew it would be a day full of fun — not lacking any bit of energy.

They continued over at Mattie’s the rest of the day. Sam + Colleen’s love for each other is so apparent. On their wedding day, it was clear that they were made for one another. They’re adored by friends and family as individuals but so much more so as a couple.

Traveling is one of their favorite things to do together so it’s no surprise their honeymoon is anything short of adventurous. They plan to travel along the coast of Croatia for 2 and a half weeks! They’ll stay at a winery, go truffle hunting, stay on the idyllic island of Hvar, and see the beautiful historic city of Dubrovnik.

S + C, It’s an honor to be not only your photographer for all of life’s milestones but also your friend. I was immediately welcomed by your family and the best hype-team of friends I’ve ever met. You are in good hands and I can’t wait to see what the future hold for you.
