Varun brought Bhavana back to Flat Creek Estate Winery & Vineyard for a reason. It is where they had their first date. That afternoon they were just walking the property together with a glass of wine. Bhavana thought they were doing exactly what most couples do there wandering the paths and enjoying the Hill Country views. What she did not know was that Varun was slowly walking her toward the patio where he planned to propose. Walking to the Proposal Spot at Flat Creek Estate Winery Their friend Teja arrived earlier to set everything up for them. While Varun and Bhavana were walking around the property, Teja arranged the proposal space on the patio behind the building so everything would be ready when they arrived. When Varun guided Bhavana down the path toward the patio, she still thought they were just exploring the property. The Proposal As soon as they stepped onto the patio Bhavana realized something was happening. A few seconds later Varun was down on one knee asking her to marry him. She said yes. Friends Waiting Inside Right after the proposal the patio door opened and their friends stepped outside cheering and congratulating them. Bhavana had no idea they were inside the house the entire time watching everything unfold. Her reaction when she saw them come outside was one of the best moments of the afternoon. Photos Around the Vineyard After celebrating for a few minutes we walked around the property for photos. Flat Creek Estate has a lot of beautiful spots across the vineyard and around the oak trees, so we moved between a few different areas while the light softened. At one point the three of us were walking through the vineyard talking about what comes next for them. That is when they shared that they are planning a destination wedding in Portugal. It felt like the beginning of the next chapter of their story. Celebrating With Friends After photos they met back up with their friends and continued celebrating with wine. Coming back to the place where they had their first date made the proposal feel especially meaningful. It was relaxed, personal, and shared with the people closest to them. And now their story continues in Portugal.
