When Samantha and Neal told me they were planning a wedding with fewer than 25 guests, I knew it was going to be something special. I’ve always believed that intimate weddings have this way of stripping everything down to what really matters—and their Harper Hill Ranch wedding was exactly that.

Coming Home to Texas
I loved that Samantha chose to come back home for her wedding. Even though she’s a news anchor in St. Louis, her Texas roots run deep, and I could feel how meaningful it was for her to celebrate here. When I arrived at Harper Hill Ranch, I instantly understood why they chose it. The property had that perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort—and it didn’t just host their wedding, it held their story.

Jewel Tone Boho Glam Details
I couldn’t get enough of the way their jewel tone boho glam theme came to life. Everywhere I looked there were rich colors. Deep emerald greens, sapphire blues, ruby reds, and touches of gold that shimmered in the Texas light. And then Neal walked out in his emerald green suit… and I just thought, yes. It was bold, stylish, and completely on-theme while still feeling like him. I loved how his choice tied everything together and made their portraits pop even more.

Harper Hill Ran, a Venue with Accommodations
One of my favorite things about Harper Hill Ranch is that everyone can stay together on the property. Looking for a wedding venue with accommodations? You’ve found it! With fewer than 25 guests, it meant family and friends weren’t rushing off to hotels or scattered around town. They were right there, part of every moment. I got to watch people sip coffee together in the morning, laugh in the kitchen, and linger long after the reception ended. It turned their wedding into a full weekend of togetherness instead of just one day.

Simple + Intentional
I loved how Samantha and Neal let go of all the extra “shoulds.” They didn’t have a big wedding party or a jam-packed timeline. Instead, they created space for joy. I got to see them laugh through their vows, sneak little glances at each other during dinner, and wrap up the night under string lights, dancing with the people they love most.

Why I Love Harper Hill Ranch Weddings
Every time I get to photograph here, I’m reminded why Harper Hill Ranch weddings are so unique. It’s not just the Texas Hill Country views—it’s the way the property makes people slow down and actually savor the day. For Samantha and Neal, that meant a jewel tone boho glam celebration, an emerald suit moment I’ll never forget, and the comfort of knowing everyone they loved was right there by their side.

If you’re dreaming of a wedding that feels less like a production and more like a story you’ll relive forever, a Harper Hill Ranch wedding is exactly that.
