Love does not wait for a perfect day. Callie and Kiki discovered this on their wedding day at Springdale Station in Austin, Texas. Their dream of an outdoor ceremony faced the challenge of heavy rain. Yet, this is a story of unwavering love. It’s about adaptability and creativity shining through, rain or shine.
The Venue That Stole Their Hearts | Springdale Station
Springdale Station whispered romance to Callie and Kiki with its open spaces, dreamy train tracks, and the warmth of its wooden interiors. Their love story, filled with the hope of sunny skies, was set to unfold in the outdoor splendor that Springdale Station promised.
However, as we awaited the fated hour, the skies darkened, and rain clouds threatened to alter their vision. Springdale Station, with its versatile design, rose to the occasion. Like any stark beauty in defiance of the storm, the venue transformed seamlessly. It fit the day’s new narrative, showcasing the adaptability that all brides long for in their chosen location.

The Photographs That Captured Their Spirit
On Callie and Kiki’s big day, we kicked off with early formal portraits after their first look. This allowed us to capture all the tears, excitement and anticipation before the ceremony. Since there was no sunshine to greet us, the couple opted for what I like to call “back room portraits” for their evening session.

The Result of Resilience and Romance
From the indoor ceremony with its charm to the traditional portraits that radiate a timeless quality, the collection is a fusion of their hoped-for-day and the beautifully improvised reality. The “back room” photos are a personal favorite – they reflect not just the couple’s fiery romance but the young fun-loving connection they share.
Celebrating Unpredictability
Their wedding at Springdale Station embraced the rain as it did the love that inspired it. These moments we share reflect the day’s spontaneity. We hope it also offers shared wisdom to those planning weddings. A little rain won’t ruin the wedding when there is fun and love to be shared among friends and family. It is, after all, in unpredictable love that we find the best of stories.
