Zeke + Kassy’s Cowboy Black Tie Wedding at Thompson Austin
Zeke + Kassy’s Thompson Austin wedding was designed to feel like one big family celebration—fun, welcoming, and full of energy from start to finish. With a Cowboy Black Tie vision, bold black, emerald, gold, and white details, and an open-flow venue that encouraged guests to move and mingle, their day was anything but stuffy. Thompson Austin became the perfect place for a wedding that felt elevated while still letting everyone relax, connect, and truly celebrate.
Thompson Austin delivered on every level.

Getting Ready at Thompson Austin
The morning of the wedding started exactly how it should—slow, intentional, and filled with anticipation. Kassy got ready in a suite at Thompson Austin, surrounded by the women who know her best. On the other side of the hotel, Zeke spent his morning in the residential clubhouse, relaxed and grounded, soaking in the calm before the celebration began.

Before we headed to the ceremony, Kassy shared a quiet first look with her dad. One of those moments that feels suspended in time—soft, emotional, and deeply meaningful.

Ceremony at St. Albert the Great
They were married at St. Albert the Great, surrounded by family and close friends. During the ceremony, I caught them exchanging these quiet glances and little smiles, steady breaths, moments meant just for each other. That’s always my favorite part to photograph.

If you want to experience the energy of the day beyond still moments, this short film captures it beautifully.

Back to Thompson Austin for the Celebration
After the ceremony, we returned to Thompson Austin where the day shifted into celebration mode. One thing I love most about this venue is the open flow. Nothing feels boxed in or stiff. Guests can move, mingle, and truly experience the day rather than just watch it unfold.
Before cocktail hour began, we had a bit of downtime, and Kassy used that moment to surprise Zeke with something deeply personal: the little black boudoir book we had worked on together weeks before the wedding.

Rooftop Views + Cocktail Hour (Yes, Both)
We snuck away to the 15th floor rooftop for portraits—just a few moments with the city stretching out behind them—before releasing Zeke + Kassy straight into cocktail hour.
This part matters to me. So many couples miss cocktail hour, and I truly believe it’s one of the best parts of the day. Zeke + Kassy wanted to be there hugging family, clinking glasses, laughing with friends, and Thompson Austin made that possible without rushing or stress.

Cowboy Black Tie Done Right
Their design was bold and elevated without ever feeling stiff. Black, emerald green, gold, and white set the tone, paired with cowboy hats, boots, and a crowd that knew how to party. It was stylish, oh yes.
This wasn’t a wedding where people whispered at tables. It was loud laughter, full dance floors, and generations celebrating together. Exactly what Zeke + Kassy envisioned.

Why Thompson Austin Was the Perfect Fit
Thompson Austin was a whole experience. From getting ready in the morning to rooftop photos to an open, energetic reception, the venue allowed the day to flow naturally. No awkward transitions. No stuffy moments. Just a wedding that felt alive from start to finish.
