If you’re searching for a Westwood Country Club wedding photographer, chances are you already know how special this Austin venue is. Westwood Country Club is private, refined, and full of character. From the stone exterior to the dramatic fireplace reception space, it feels like stepping into a European estate tucked right in the heart of Austin.

I recently collaborated with Kendall from Blue Ribbon Event Co at Westwood Country Club, and it was one of those creative days that reminds me why I love photographing weddings here.

Why Westwood Country Club Is Such a Standout Austin Wedding Venue

Westwood Country Club has a presence. The limestone walls, arched architectural details, tall windows, and statement chandeliers create a setting that feels historic and elevated without feeling stuffy.

The fireplace room is especially striking. The scale of the stonework combined with the patterned tile floors gives the entire reception space depth and texture. It is the kind of room that instantly elevates a wedding design. Because Westwood Country Club is a private club, weddings here feel exclusive and intimate. Guests truly feel like they are part of something special.

Collaborating with Blue Ribbon Event Co at Westwood Country Club

Kendall from Blue Ribbon Event Co has an incredible eye for layering design in a way that enhances a venue rather than competing with it. At Westwood Country Club, that balance is everything.

She leaned into the richness of the stone backdrop instead of trying to overpower it. Bright green linens from Bright Rentals brought in color while still feeling classic. The neutral runners added softness and movement across the tables.

Table Manners provided the tabletop pieces, including patterned plates and smoky glass chargers that felt refined and intentional. The chairs from Party at The Moontower added that timeless bentwood look that fits beautifully inside Westwood Country Club’s historic interior.

And the florals from Ida Mayes Floral were a highlight of the entire design.

I thought it was so creative that mint was woven into the arrangements. It added texture, movement, and a fresh, unexpected element that you do not always see in wedding florals. But my personal favorite detail? The large green orchids. They were bold without being overpowering and tied perfectly into the rich green linens. Against the limestone walls of Westwood Country Club, they felt dramatic and elegant in the best way.

Even the candles, simple Amazon finds, added warmth and glow once the chandeliers were lit. The entire room felt layered, romantic, and thoughtfully styled.

If you are planning a wedding at Westwood Country Club, having a vendor team that understands the space makes all the difference. The architecture is strong and beautiful on its own, so the design should enhance it rather than compete with it.

As an Austin wedding photographer, Westwood Country Club has a special place in my heart. The stone textures, dramatic fireplace, tall windows, and private club atmosphere create a timeless backdrop that feels both elevated and welcoming.
